IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

Summer Slam 2025 @ Plainfield High School!!

Dear Families,

We are heartbroken to share that due to an unforeseen administrative conflict that prevents us from accessing the gymnasium at Plainfield High School, we must cancel Summer Slam 2025 at this location.

We recognize that this is incredibly short notice, and we deeply apologize. We found out about the conflict early Saturday morning and gave ourselves until noon today (Sunday) to find a workable solution. We did everything we could to avoid disappointing the many excited and eager kids who were looking forward to this week—but unfortunately, no alternative location could be secured in time.

To make things right, we are offering a full camp credit for Summer Slam 2026, which can be used at Griswold, Putnam, or any of our future camp locations. We also want you to know that we are fully committed to returning to Plainfield in Summer 2026, and we’re already working toward that goal.

If you pre-ordered a reversible jersey, it will be mailed out to you right away, so your child still receives it as planned.

We are truly sorry for the disruption and disappointment this causes. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of The Hoop Academy. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

With sincere apologies,

The Hoop Academy

🏀 Important Announcement from The Hoop Academy 🏀

We want to take a moment to clarify some changes regarding our name and identity. For a time, we partnered with The Hoop House in Norwich, and during that partnership, we renamed our AAU division to The House Basketball Club. However, The Hoop House closed in August 2024, and we’ve noticed some ongoing confusion about the name.

To make things clear, in the coming months we will be transitioning back to calling our AAU program Hoop Academy Basketball. If you have any question about any teams or programs, your point of contact is Coach George Hardison at (860) 625-4968 or thehoopacademy@gmail.com.

But one thing remains the same: The Hoop Academy is here to stay. We are not just a place—we are a community, a family, and a tradition built on a passion for the game. Thank you for being part of this journey with us! The Hoop Academy is not a place; it's a people.
